About Sway

Sway opened in April 2024 in the former Town Hall Pub, a Northalsted dive bar that ran from 1971 to 2021. Block Club called it Illinois' first LGBTQ+ and POC owned dispensary.

The owners include cannabis policy advocate Edie Moore, Kevin Hauswirth, and Art Johnston and Jose Pena, the couple behind Sidetrack across the street. The lobby's Wall of Heroes honors figures like Harvey Milk, Vernita Gray and Dennis Peron.

Before you go
