About Grasshopper Club

Grasshopper Club opened in February 2023 as Chicago's first Black family owned dispensary, run by the Brewer family and funded almost entirely by them.

It lives in the former Logan Square Trust and Savings Bank, built in the early 1920s and empty for decades before the Brewers restored it. Time Out counted more than 100 flower strains on the menu.

  • Black family owned
  • 1920s bank building

Before you go

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID showing you are 21 or older. Have cash or debit ready, since card rules vary by shop. Ask about first-time customer offers before you pay.

Visiting from out of state? Your limit is half a resident's: 15 grams of flower, 2.5 grams of concentrate and 250 mg of THC in edibles. On the way home, keep everything in a sealed, odor-proof, child-resistant container. Read the first visit guide and the Chicago cannabis laws if you are new.
